What is Choices?

Choices is a free resource of financial insights, designed to simplify the complex world of money and help you better understand the options available to you. No matter where you are in life or what your goals are, it’ll help you to make more informed and confident decisions that improve your financial wellbeing.

Who developed Choices?

Choices forms part of an holistic St. James’s Place Financial Education initiative. It hasn’t been created to promote specific products or services – but as an educational resource ensuring we all have access to the information and expertise we need to make informed financial choices and decisions.

I’m a HR representative and we’re keen to promote financial wellbeing in our workplace. How can you help?

Although we’ve created a resource that can be accessed by anyone, the main purpose of Choices is to provide financial education to employees.

St. James’s Place Financial Education team also offers face-to-face workshops delivered onsite as part of an organisation’s wellbeing programme. As this is a corporate responsibility of St. James’s Place, the majority of our onsite workshop offering comes free of charge to organisations. If you’re considering how to add a financial education component to your employee-wellbeing programme, or would like information on how the St. James’s Place Financial Education team could help, download our brochure and find out more here.

There’s loads of information out there. Why should I look here?

Choices recognises the role financial wellbeing plays in our mental health and happiness – and the limited accessible resources available to help minimise the stress we experience when dealing with complex money management issues. It understands that, as individuals at different life stages, we each have our own goals and priorities – and tailors its guidance accordingly, with regular content spanning a wide range of key financial planning topics. Simply fill in your content preferences through the Discover page (or My Preferences) and you’ll start to see a raft of personalised, relevant and accessible stories.

Why does it ask for my personal information on the Discover page?

We ask you a few quick questions about yourself and your financial aims to find content that is relevant to you – that reflects your individual circumstances and life stage. You can choose not to provide this information and still enjoy the full breadth of content available on the Choices site. Should you opt in to receiving the regular, perosnalised content updates in our newsletter, you will need to provide your email address.

Who has access to my information?

Your data is used to deliver a more personalised experience for our users and to send you our regular newsletter updates – as well as to provide anonymous insights into Choices users. We’ll never share your information with anyone.
